Motivation
The Python program is much lighter this year.
We have three tutorials, one for the Python beginners,
one for advanced, or no-more-beginners, and a last one dedicated
to Zope and the use of Python for Zope.
We'll also have a presentation of the use of Glade
with Python to design GUIs.
The first idea of creating an European event has been relayed by
the Europython team, see the URL at the bottom of the page.
The tutorial contents and their expected audience are the following:
- Starting with Python
Marc Poinot
A first tutorial to understand Python.
One can assist to this tutorial to get a large overview of what is
Python and what is possible to do with it. (English)
- Object oriented programming in Python
Alexandre Fayolle
A second, more advanced tutorial for Python, focused on the object
oriented features of this programming language. (English)
- Zope
Stéfane Fermigier
A Zope tutorial.
- Writing GNU/Linux software for school with Python and Glade
Hilaire Fernandes
A general presentation of these tools, using a practical case. (French)
